McKenna and Hladky are nominated for 2023 awards in Ipswich Town.
Both Ipswich Town boss Kieran McKenna and keeper Vaclav Hladky have been nominated for awards in SkyBet’s monthly Championship gongs.
McKenna, who won September’s manager of the month award, has been shortlisted again after a perfect month which saw Town win all four matches.
The Blues beat Hull City 3-0 and Preston North End 4-2 at home, followed by a 1-0 win at Bristol City and a 3-2 victory over Plymouth Argyle at Portman Road.
McKenna’s up against Enzo Maresca of league leaders Leicester City , who also had a perfect month with six wins from six, plus Southampton’s Russell Martin (11 points from five games) and Middlesbrough’s Michael Carrick (12 points from five games).
Hladky has been rewarded for his fine form all season, which has seen him make a number of goal-saving stops and contribute to Town’s playing out from the back ethos.
He’s up against Leicester’s midfield marvel Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall (three goals, three assists), Cardiff City full-back Perry Ng (two goals) and Leeds United winger Crysencio Summerville (five goals, three assists). The winners of both awards will be announced on Friday morning.
