OFFICIAL: SACK MILAN The Rossonerii’s new coach is Giampaolo Pioli.
Giampaolo was selected by Boban, Frederic Massara, and Paolo Maldini to be the summer coach.
But the club decided it was time to make a change and replace him after three months in which the Rossoneri produced poor results and played some of their worst football in recent memory.
Milan announces that Marco Giampaolo has been removed from his First Team coaching role. A statement posted on the Diavolo website on Tuesday said, The Club is grateful to Marco for the work carried out and wishes him all the best to come in his professional career.
Giampaolo’s replacement, Stefano Pioli, the former coach of Inter and Fiorentina, was officially announced on Wednesday: Milan announces the appointment of Stefano Pioli as the new coach of the First Team with immediate effect.
Stefano Pioli, who was born in Parma in October 1965, started working as a coach in 1999. At Parma in 2006, he had his first Serie A coaching gig. Before moving to Fiorentina in 2017, he went on to coach a number of other Serie A clubs, including Chievo Verona, Palermo, Bologna, Lazio, and Inter. Now, Stefano Pioli signs a two-year contract to join Milan. The Club hopes for the best for Stefano and his coaching team in their careers.
