View: Ohio State quarterback Kyle McCord previews a new Mercedes-Benz before the 2023 campaign.
With several months remaining before the season opener against Indiana, Ohio State still hasn’t named a starting quarterback. But before he begins his third season as a Buckeye, Kyle McCord has found a new home.
St. Joseph’s Preparatory High School in Philadelphia is home to 2021 five-star quarterback McCord. He shared a picture of a 2023 Mercedes-Benz AMG GT 53 on his Instagram story, writing, “Thanks to the team (at) Mark Wahlberg Chevrolet for the ride!”
The 2023 Mercedes-Benz AMG GT 53, according to Car and Driver, has a starting price of $93,550 and boasts “bonkers acceleration from the V-8 models, exotic looks, and high-end cabin appointments.” On the official McCord website, the vehicle is referred to as “the great white shark of luxury performance sedans.”
Ohio State defensive end Jack Sawyer flaunted a Chevrolet Silverado from Mark Wahlberg Chevrolet ahead of the 2021 campaign. He also posted several other tweets featuring the truck.
Prior to the 2023 season, McCord and Devin Brown are the front-runners for Ohio State’s starting quarterback position.
McCord, a native of New Jersey and Marvin Harrison Jr.’s high school teammate, has played for the Buckeyes for two seasons. During that time, he has completed 41 out of 58 pass attempts for 606 passing yards, three touchdowns, and two interceptions.
Ohio State plays Indiana on September 2, 2023, in Bloomington, Indiana. CBS will air the kickoff at 3:30 p.m.
