It seems like AC Milan’s top summer aim is Jonathan David. Nevertheless, a source suggests that the Rossoneri have their sights set on a Montpellier striker, and that reinforcements might arrive as early as January.

Ever since the summer, Milan fans have been talking a lot about the No. 9 position. Even though Olivier Giroud has been playing excellently lately, he previously went nine games without scoring. Therefore, a reinforcement in January would be quite beneficial.

MilanNews reported Corriere della Sera and Tuttosport as saying that Milan has their sights set on Akor Adams of Montepellier for the January window. Geoffrey Moncada, the technical director of the Rossoneri, is immensely fond of the 23-year-old, who has scored seven goals so far this season.

Adams is a tall, powerful forward who isn’t exactly lacking in speed. It’s hardly surprising that the Nigerian made the desire list considering how Milan often uses their striker. It’s unclear, though, if a January transfer is possible.

Giroud’s two-game suspension means that Noah Okafor or Luka Jovic will get the start up front. Given the difficult circumstances the Rossoneri find themselves in, Stefano Pioli wants the pair to deliver now more than ever.
