Bulldogs will go after another striker.
According to reports, the Canterbury Bulldogs will want to sign Sydney Roosters forward Terrell May for 2025 and beyond.
May is developing into a first-grade regular and had a great 2023 season with the Roosters. That role might get even bigger in 2024 as he works to get more playing time.
His status with the team and in coach Trent Robinson’s eyes will remain unaffected by two outstanding performances he put in off the substitute bench during the Roosters’ finals series.

A few weeks ago, there was news that the Roosters were negotiating contract extensions with May and many other players, such as Siua Wong and Nat Butcher.
With less than ten players committed, May was considered an almost sure bet to return, giving the Roosters plenty of freedom over their roster for 2025 and beyond.
Though the team is keen to hang on to players like Joey Manu and Butcher, and they have invested heavily in forwards to sign Spencer Leniu for 2024, May may receive better offers from other teams.
The Canterbury Bulldogs are one of the teams reportedly considering a move for the forward, according to Wide World of Sports.
It’s known that May and Cameron Ciraldo are tight from when he was a junior in the Penrith system. Ciraldo is Canterbury’s head coach at the moment.
May completed his career with 26 games played in 2023, averaging 100 meters per game and over 95% of his tackles coming from close range.
As the November 1 deadline for off-contract players to speak with competitors approaches, don’t be shocked if more clubs join the queue for the young gun. He is considered a star of the future. There isn’t much forward depth available on the market.
