For the 2032 and 2033 seasons, the University of Minnesota football team has set up a home-and-home series with Alabama.
The university declared on Tuesday that the Gophers will play at Alabama on September 17, 2033, and host the Crimson Tide on September 18, 2032.
In their combined histories, the two programmes have only faced off once, in the 2004 Music City Bowl, which Minnesota won 20-16.
The Gophers defeated Auburn 31–24 in the 2020 Outback Bowl, the last time Minnesota faced an SEC team.
