In terms of Aaron Jones’ health, the Green Bay Packers might have escaped the worst.

During the team’s Week 11 game against the Los Angeles Chargers, Jones sustained a knee injury that required him to be carted to the locker room. The tailback was seen to be in obvious pain prior to leaving the field after the injury late in the second quarter.

Prior to formally declaring Jones out in the second half, the Packers had Jones listed as questionable. The head coach of the Packers stated after the game that Jones is “in good spirits” and that the team does not fear a long-term injury.

Towards the end of the first half, running back Emanuel Wilson met a similar end just moments after Jones, making him not the only Packer tailback to be carted.

In the game before he was injured, Jones had four rush attempts for 14 yards. Through six games this 2023 season, he has gained 231 yards and two touchdowns. Throughout his seven-year career, he has surpassed 1,000 yards three times and scored 45 touchdowns overall, so this performance is not indicative of his past.

A.J. Dillon will be the only player left for Green Bay in the position group if Jones and Wilson are sidelined for the remainder of the contest.

Green Bay improved to 4-6 on the season with a 23–20 victory over the Chargers. In the NFC North, the Packers are presently ranked third.
