According to a report, AC Milan may not need to look outside of Italy in their hunt for a new central defender because they have their eye on Jaka Bijol of Udinese.

A report from SpazioMilan claims that Milan’s defense is seriously jeopardized because Simon Kjaer is no longer able to play for extended stretches of time, Marco Pellegrino is recovering from a broken foot, and Pierre Kalulu will be out for a while longer.

Milan will therefore be active on the transfer market once more in January, with some names that are currently just ideas and others that are known targets. It is imperative that Geoffrey Moncada and Giorgio Furlani adhere to their budget, despite Gerry Cardinale’s desire for the best outcome for his team.

Jaka Bijol has surfaced as a potential candidate to play center back. The reasonable asking price for the Slovenian central defender may encourage the start of negotiations.

After playing for CSKA Moscow and Hannover among other teams, Bijol arrived in Italy in 2022. According to the report, Milan is prepared to pay Udinese €15 million for the 24-year-old. Given that he is a starter, the Friulians might be amenable to the sale, even though they would prefer to sell their in the summer.
