Derrick White has been added to the Boston Celtics injury report, which no longer includes Jayson Tatum. Due to a non-Covid-related illness, Tatum was previously listed as probable going into Friday’s game against the Orlando Magic. After being cleared, the All-NBA forward had trouble against the Magic. Some people questioned whether he was just playing the sickness off.

He performed significantly better on Sunday against the Atlanta Hawks. After finishing with 34 points, nine rebounds, four assists, and two steals in 39 minutes, Tatum was back to his usual lethal self. With an 11–25 shooting effort, including a 5–13 three-pointer, he helped the Celtics win 113–103.

Jayson Tatum was questioned about whether he was still affected by the illness after the game. In response, the four-time All-Star said he was good and ready for the Chicago Bulls game on Tuesday.

Derrick White is coping with a non-Covid-related illness, just like Tatum. The extremely resilient combo guard is listed as probable in the injury report. But he’s probably going to play for Boston against the Bulls.

From his acquisition in February 2022, White has appeared in 162 of the Boston Celtics’ 165 games, including the playoffs. His first game was missed when his first child was born.

The Boston Celtics will be without Kristaps Porzingis on Tuesday against the Chicago Bulls. Jrue Holiday has been ruled questionable after missing the team’s last two games because of a right ankle sprain. Boston will be a little undermanned if Holiday cannot play.

Jayson Tatum and Derrick White will have to step up more for the team due to injuries. The same is true for Al Horford, Jaylen Brown and the rest of the roster to beat the Bulls in a crucial NBA In-Season Tournament game.
