Against the Bulls on Tuesday, the Celtics might be without several starters.

The Boston Celtics defeated the Atlanta Hawks 113-103 on Sunday to increase their record to 7-0 at TD Garden.

In an in-season tournament match, the team with the best record in the NBA (13-4) takes on the Chicago Bulls on Tuesday.

The Orlando Magic, who lost 113-96 on Friday, now have the best record in Group C at 3-1. At 2-1, the C’s and the Brooklyn Nets are tied for second place. The teams’ record in group stage matches serves as the first tiebreaker.

Point differential is the second. Boston Brooklyn and the Magic both have one game remaining in the group stage, but the Magic have a significant advantage with a +22 point differential.

With a +8 rating, the Nets have the advantage over the Celtics.

Thus, securing a wild card spot increases the likelihood of qualifying for the quarterfinals more than Boston winning Group C. However, that probably requires a comfortable victory over the Bulls on Tuesday.

Kristaps Porzingis is out for the C’s with a left calf strain, which is unfortunate. The seven-foot-three center will miss several games due to the injury.

It’s possible that Jrue Holiday won’t be playing for the hosts on Tuesday. Due to a right ankle sprain he sustained when he rolled his right foot after tripping over Brook Lopez’s foot during a late-game layup attempt in Boston’s 119-116 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks last week, the two-time All-Star has missed their last two games.

Joe Mazzulla reported that Holiday completed an additional on-court practice on Monday, and he’s

Derrick White is also listed as probable in the Celtics injury report because of a non-Covid ailment.

At TD Garden, the game on Tuesday against Chicago will tip off at 7:30 EST.
