Florida State vs. Miami: Pre-Game Injury Updates For The Seminoles And Hurricanes

The Florida State Semifinal versus Miami Hurricanes at Doak Campbell Stadium is about to get underway. In the next three weeks, the Seminoles will play two in-state rivalry games to further establish their claim to a potential state championship. This one is the first.

The Seminoles have a number of players to keep an eye on ahead of the game to see who will be available. After missing the victory over Pittsburgh, standout wide receivers Johnny Wilson and Keon Coleman are anticipated to make a comeback.

Other than those two, inactive players in recent weeks include defensive tackle Dennis Briggs, wide receivers Hykeem Williams and Deuce Spann, defensive back Jarrian Jones, defensive back KJ Kirkland, and defensive back Edwin Joseph.

Additionally, Miami quarterback Tyler Van Dyke has been playing below 100% of his potential for the majority of the season due to injuries of his own. In the Hurricanes’ most recent defeat to North Carolina State, defensive back Daryl Porter was injured.

In order to find out who is available to play on Saturday, NoleGameday will be monitoring the players listed above as well as others. Before the Seminoles take on the Hurricanes, check out the updates below.

During the pregame warm-up, Keon Coleman, Johnny Wilson, Deuce Spann, and Hykeem Williams are all warming up. It will be interesting to watch if Williams and Spann later appear in full pads.

— I didn’t see linebacker DJ Lundy or defensive back Akeem Dent warming up. As the game gets closer, they might come out.
