Colorado football: Deion Sanders lands No. 1 OT over Oregon, Ohio State

Jordan Seaton, a five-star offensive tackle prospect, committed to the Colorado Buffaloes on Thursday, meaning the Ohio State Buckeyes missed out on a valuable prospect.

Seaton chose the Buffs over Florida, Tennessee, Ohio State, and Oregon.

according to the On3 Industry Ranking, the top offensive tackle in the nation and the 12th best player overall in the country.

Five-star Ohio State Buckeyes commitment Jeremiah Smith has been ranked as the new No. 1 overall recruit in the 2024 class by Rivals.com

Smith, who is expected to be an early enrollee with the Buckeyes, is coming to Colombus at an extremely opportune time, with Marvin Harrison Jr. and Emeka Egbuka both likely heading for the NFL Draft.

In August, Smith stated on ESPN, “I’m coming to Ohio State to be one of the best receivers to ever come through Ohio State.” “I’ll be there. I’ll be there for sure in January, and I’ll be at work, for sure. Go, Bucks.

Initially ranked No. 2 in the class, Smith has since eclipsed Dylan Raiola, a former Ohio State standout and current quarterback commit to the Georgia Bulldogs.

On Thanksgiving Day, Ohio State Buckeyes offensive line recruit Gabe VanSickle, formerly of Northwestern, committed to the team, adding to an already impressive class.

VanSickle, a Coopersville, MI native, picked Ohio State over Northwestern, Bowling Green, Central Michigan, and Indiana.

VanSickle was committed to Northwestern until this month and decommitted from the Wildcats after a visit to Columbus. He then pledged to the Buckeyes two days later.

The Buckeyes class currently ranks No. 2 in the country behind only the two-time defending national champion Georgia Bulldogs.

The Ohio State Buckeyes are set to welcome arguably the top recruit in the 2024 class after the Early Signing Period in five-star receiver, Jeremiah Smith.

And while Buckeyes fans are undeniably excited to welcome the five-star pass catcher, their most famous supporter, NBA superstar LeBron James, might be the most hyped.
