Monday night, the Green Bay Packers lost their three-game winning streak and, in the process, saw their margin of error in the NFC playoff race all but vanish.

With time running out, Randy Bullock’s 37-yard field goal gave the New York Giants their third consecutive victory with rookie quarterback Tommy DeVito leading the team in points 24–22.

The 49ers, who lead the NFC, became the first team to formally lock up a postseason berth after the Pack’s defeat. With 6-7 records, Green Bay is now tied with the Rams, Seahawks, Falcons, and Saints for the third and final wild-card spot in the conference.
