It’s official: Michigan’s Zak Zinter is a unanimous First Team All-American.

Over the last two weeks, Zinter earned first team honors from all five groups – including the Walter Camp Football Foundation, the Football Writers Association of America, the Associated Press, Sporting News, and the American Football Coaches Association.

Zinter, now a senior, has appeared in 45 games throughout his four years in Ann Arbor, making 42 starts. He played a role in helping Michigan to win back-to-back Joe Moore Awards, becoming the first offensive line unit to win the award in consecutive seasons. He becomes the eighth Wolverine to be earn unanimous First Team All-American honors since the year 2000, joining:

  • LaMarr Woodley (2006)
  • Braylon Edwards (2004)
