Former Tennessee Titans tight end Frank Wycheck died on Saturday at the age of 52.
According to his family, Wycheck was found unresponsive on Saturday after falling and hitting his head at home.

Per a statement from the family, “at this time, it appears Wycheck fell inside his Chattanooga, TN home and hit his head on Saturday morning. He was found unresponsive that afternoon.”
Wycheck was a sixth-round draft pick for Washington in 1993 and retired after 11 NFL seasons in 2003 having spent the previous nine years with the Houston Oilers/Tennessee Titans.
He was best known for his time with the Titans, where he made the Pro Bowl three consecutive times between 1998-2000.
During his time with the franchise, he caught 482 passes for 4,958 yards, and 27 touchdowns, while his 482 receptions are third most in franchise history.

In his 11 seasons, he finished with 505 catches for 5,126 yards and 28 touchdowns.
While Wycheck never won a Super Bowl ring, he was an integral part of the 1999 Titans who advanced to the ‘big game’ and lost to the Los Angeles Rams.

He is also remembered for one of the most famous plays in not just franchise history, but NFL history.
“The Music City Miracle” took place on January 8, 2000, at the end of an AFC wild-card playoff game between the Titans and Buffalo Bills.

Tennessee trailed by one point in the final seconds of the game when Wycheck threw a lateral ball across the field to Kevin Dyson on a kickoff return.
Dyson then returned it for a 75-yard touchdown to give the Titans a 22-16 victory.
Wycheck leaves behind two adult daughters, Deanna and Madison, and three grandchildren – Leo, Stevie and August.
