Despite having this injury, David Njoku led the Browns in scoring during his career.

David Njoku ruled out for Cleveland Browns against Houston Texans

Brown’s tight end Prior to having a career day in the team’s victory over the Bears, David Njoku talked about an injury he had at home on Inside the NFL.

Njoku spoke with the CW’s Inside the NFL just days after hauling in a career-high 10 receptions, 104 yards, and a touchdown in the Browns’ victory over the Bears. He also discussed Cleveland’s resilience this season. But the panel of Ryan Clark, Channing Crowder, Jay Cutler, Chad Johnson, and Chris Long got more than they expected when the tight end for the Browns revealed that he actually played in the Bears game despite needing stitches for a toe injury.

Njoku disclosed that on Thursday night of last week, he stubbed his pinky toe at home. Although it hurt a lot, he didn’t think much of it at first. Subsequently, the 27-year-old discovered blood on the floor and seeping through his sock, indicating that the injury was more serious than he initially believed.

The Browns training staff informed Njoku that stitches would be required to close the wound when he arrived at the team facility the following day. After undergoing the procedure on Friday, he played against the Bears two days later and had a career-high day.
