The quarterback will enter the NFL record books with this salary, which translates to an average of £47 million. Many in the Bengals organization will think that Burrow, who has transformed the team on the field since joining three years ago, deserves the record salary.

The Bengals matched the franchise’s worst-performing season in 2019 by winning just twice during the 2019 season, earning the unwelcome title of the NFL’s worst team just a year prior to his departure.
