Following a losing season for the second straight year, Browns head coach Hue Jackson was fired from his position at Grambling State.

Hue Jackson will be searching for his fourth coaching position after leaving the Cleveland Browns six years ago.

Following Jackson’s two seasons in charge, the program decided to part ways with him and take a different course following Grambling State’s November 25 loss to Southern University.

We express our gratitude to Coach Jackson for his invaluable contributions to the GSU football team. “We hope he succeeds in all of his future undertakings,” Dr. Scott stated. “Although it was not an easy choice to make, we believed it was essential to the success of our program. GSU wants to be a contender for titles each and every year. We will make a conscious effort to select the best candidate going forward to guide this program back to its rightful position as one of the best in the nation.”
