Injury Report for the 2023 SEC Championship Game: Kool-Aid McKinstry Update.

Both the No. 1 Georgia Bulldogs and the No. 8 Alabama Crimson Tide are dealing with injuries going into today’s game.

The top-ranked Georgia Bulldogs and the eighth-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide square off in Atlanta in the 2023 Southeastern Conference Championship Game.

Due to their demanding 12-game schedules, both teams came into today’s match with injuries.

DeontaJase McClellan,e Lawson, and Jaylen Key were the walking wounded for the Crimson Tide. In the meantime, Tate Ratledge, Ladd McConkey, Rara Thomas, and Brock Bowers of the Georgia Bulldogs entered the game carrying a variety of injuries.

All but McClellan played for the Tide, and the majority of Georgia’s players took part in the match.

With the exception of one key player who left the game to join the Crimson Tide, it was largely a clean game for both teams.

Kool-Aid McKinstry, a standout cornerback for Alabama, left the game in the third quarter. Head coach Nick Saban stated that McKinstry is in the concussion protocol following the game.

“Kool-Aid fractured his head. In the concussion protocol he goes. We’ll assess the severity, duration, and timing of his clarity,” stated Saban. “I believe that all of the testing procedures we currently have are very helpful in preventing players from suffering repeated concussions. Our medical staff has consistently done an excellent job of protecting the players when these things happen, so hopefully we’ll do our best.”
