Ohio’s BEREA After losing several more of their best players of the season in the previous week, the 8-5 Browns are limping into their game against the 5-8 Bears on Sunday at Cleveland Browns Stadium.

Dawand Jones suffered a torn MCL during practice on Thursday, so he was ruled out of the game the Saturday before their 31-27 victory over the Jaguars. The Browns declared on Tuesday that he would be placed on injured reserve and undergo surgery that would end his season.

Not too long after, word leaked out that left tackle Jedrick Wills Jr., who had missed the previous five games due to a knee scope, would miss the remainder of the season.

This means that James Hudson III on the right and Geron Christian on the left are the Browns’ fourth and fifth tackles, respectively. The Browns are currently the No. 5 seed in the playoff competition for the first wild card spot. They may be able to withstand that blow in the regular season, but it will be difficult in the playoffs when they play against more formidable pass rushers.

Juan Thornhill, the starting safety, aggravated his calf injury during warm-ups and was ruled out of the game. He did not move on Wednesday, so it is unclear how he will be feeling going into the Bears game.
