An updated look at the Tennessee Titans’ position and the NFL Draft order in 2024
The Tennessee Titans, who lost to the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, rose two spots in the 2024 NFL Draft order. The Titans had the ninth overall pick going into the competition. According to Tankathon, the Titans currently hold the No. 7 overall selection as of the end of Week 16.
The whole weekend flew by. The Titans actually rose to No. 5 overall after the loss to Seattle, ensuring that they would have the chance to select one of Joe Alt, Olu Fashanu, or Marvin Harrison Jr. The Titans were moved down two spots to No. 7 by the Monday Night Football results, though.
The New York Giants moved up to fifth overall after losing to the Philadelphia Eagles. Perhaps even more disappointingly, the unexpected loss of the Kansas City Chiefs to the Las Vegas Raiders affected the strength of schedule (SOS), allowing the Los Angeles Chargers to move up to the sixth overall spot and pass the Titans in tiebreakers.
In Week 17, the 5-10 Titans are getting ready to play the Houston Texans. The Titans will play in Houston, 1-7 miles from Nissan Stadium. In the AFC South, they are also winless. Rookie quarterback CJ Stroud is anticipated to return to the starting lineup for the Texans, who defeated the Titans recently under the direction of seasoned journeyman Case Keenum. The favorites will be the Texans.
