In a statement, Butch Jones compares himself to Nick Saban.

Butch Jones, the current head coach of Arkansas State and a former head coach of the Tennessee Vols, recently made a bizarre statement in which he seemed to compare himself to the legendary Alabama head coach Nick Saban.

A recent article from The Montgomery Independent features some remarks that Jones made about his three seasons as an off-field assistant at Alabama (the position paid him approximately $30,000 annually, enabling him to receive his complete buyout from Tennessee).

Jones disclosed that prior to accepting the position with Alabama, he intended to become a member of Urban Meyer’s staff at Ohio State.
