The Eagles have been based in Philadelphia since 1933. They have some of the league’s most fervent and enthusiastic supporters. For Eagles fans, it was a dream come true when the team won the Super Bowl for the first time in 2018. Over the years, the team has fielded many outstanding players. After his playing days in the USFL were over, White and the Eagles dominated the league. He was a pass rusher unlike any the NFL had ever seen. Due to a strike-shortened season, he only played in 12 games but recorded 21 sacks, earning him the 1987 Defensive Player of the Year award. He was the captain of what is arguably the best Gang Green defense ever, the one from 1991. With the Eagles, he played in 121 games and recorded 124 sacks. He regrettably signed with the Green Bay Packers, where he would go on to win his only Super Bowl, after leaving Philadelphia.
