ESPN REPORT: Forever In Our Heart: death: What happened to the Clemson coach?

The university announced on Saturday that Lawson Holland, a former wide receiver and coach at Clemson, had passed away at the age of 70. After a period of deteriorating health, Holland passed away quietly while sleeping at home.

At Trinity Church in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, on Tuesday, August 29, there will be a memorial service held in his honor. Following that, a visitation will take place in the church’s Gravely Hall. Instead of flowers, his family asked that donations be made to Trinity Church.

Lawson Holland leaves behind two children, Jake and Katie, as well as his wife, Cathy. He was supported emotionally during his illness by his family and friends, who were all around him. He fought his health battles with the support of his children, who are also married and have children.
