Cooper Kupp visits a specialist regarding a hamstring injury; his status for Week 1 is uncertain.

It’s never good news when a receiver visits a specialist to evaluate a hamstring injury.

Cooper Kupp, a star wide receiver for the Los Angeles Rams, suffered a hamstring injury early in training camp, which caused a setback. It is said that he went to a specialist in Minnesota to have it examined. He hasn’t been ruled out of the Rams’ Week 1 matchup with the Seattle Seahawks, though.

According to Gary Klein of the Los Angeles Times, Rams coach Sean McVay stated on Monday that although Kupp was still in Minneapolis, he wouldn’t rule him out for the season opener.

The team is concentrated on Kupp’s “return to performance,” according to McVay, according to Klein. That’s a sign that Kupp might need to miss some time to recover to 100 percent, but McVay made no decisions regarding his availability on Monday. This is bad news for fantasy football drafters because, prior to his injury, Kupp was widely regarded as a first-round pick.

Without Kupp, the Rams could be in trouble. After a difficult offseason in which they sorted out their salary cap, their roster was already thin. Kupp, the MVP of the Super Bowl two seasons prior, was one of the causes for optimism. In his absence, tight end Tyler Higbee and Van Jefferson are the Rams’ best pass catchers.
