Eagles defeat Giants 33-25 to snap a three-game losing streak and maintain their hopes of winning the NFC East title.

WPVI (Philadelphia) — In addition to throwing for a touchdown and scoring on the “tush push” that gave him the NFL record for the most rushing touchdowns by a quarterback in a season, the Philadelphia Eagles defeated the New York Giants 33-25 on Monday night to maintain their hopes of winning the NFC East.

After the Eagles (11-4) ended a three-game losing streak that had Philadelphia fans on edge, defensive play-calling was reorganized. Philadelphia’s attempts to secure the top NFC seed were virtually dashed by their defeats to San Francisco, Dallas, and Seattle.

However, there’s an obvious route to a second consecutive division title. The Eagles must defeat the Giants once more this season and defeat Arizona the following week.

It took a visit from the Giants to put the Eagles on the right track after three heartbreaking losses. The Eagles defeated the Giants three times in the previous season and are 11-0 against New York at the Linc since 2014.

Late in the third quarter, Adoree’ Jackson gave the Giants (5-10) a late boost when he returned an interception 76 yards for a touchdown and Saquon Barkley made a 2-point conversion to make the score 20–18.

The play calls of the supporters, many of whom were dressed as Santa Claus, allowed Hurts and the Eagles to survive.

Eagles fans, frustrated with the team’s pass-heavy approach, yelled, “Run the ball! “Run, ball!”
