On this Veterans Day, I just want to thank everyone who has served and continues to serve our nation. We, along with me, are grateful for everything you do and the sacrifices you have made and will continue to make for your family.

This week’s big game. We get to play against a really good football team. When you consider how they’re playing in each of the three game phases, you can see how good they are. Take a look at their season-long results and keep playing smart, physical football on both sides of the line, with a focus on scrimmage. It will also be a major test for us. Really excited to see Vol Nation perform. This week, or this year, they have been fantastic on the road. When we arrive in Columbia, we definitely want to see a lot of orange. I therefore appreciate everyone who traveled there.

“Just the development of our program from its inception to its current state. Having talented players on the line of scrimmage is the first step in the process. We also have players who have accumulated a great deal of playing experience on both sides of the line of scrimmage and have only gotten better. A new group of dynamic young guys has entered the team and altered the way the game is played. After all of that, you discuss offensive and defensive linemen, and the other position groups also have a significant impact on that. Offensively, the quarterback is involved, as are your tight ends and our running backs’ development.

“And then you look at our safeties and linebackers, how they’re playing, and how they can link all three levels of the defense together defensively. That, in my opinion, has played a significant role in our program’s expansion since we moved here. And as we proceed on this journey this season, we’re going to need that. This week, we focus on Missouri specifically because they have a dynamic running back and are incredibly strong up front. In my opinion, he is the league’s best rusher. Of course, we all need to keep our offensive balance if we want to succeed.

“And then you observe our linebackers and safeties, their play, and their ability to defensively connect with all three levels of the defense. That has, in my opinion, been a major factor in the growth of our program since our relocation. And we’re going to need that as we move forward this season on our journey. We pay close attention to Missouri this week because they have a strong front line and a dynamic running back. He’s the best rusher in the league, in my opinion. Naturally, maintaining our offensive equilibrium is essential for success.
