Gone too soon: Wisconsin Key Man Dies In A  Plane Crash.

The last words of a pilot who perished in a plane crash in Florida on Tuesday are being made public by a new report.

According to comments from the Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board that PEOPLE was able to receive, the single-engine Piper PA-28 crashed close to Micanopy on Tuesday afternoon at around 2:00 p.m. local time.

Just before the plane crashed into a forested area, the lone occupant, the pilot, reported a “flight control malfunction,” according to the NTSB.

According to PBS affiliate WUFT, which was able to get a recording of radio transmission from the event, the pilot urged the air traffic controller to notify his parents that he loved them just before losing all communication.

Soldier from Minnesota Died in Helicopter Crash Mom recalled: “He always knew.”

He desired to enlist in the army.
According to WUFT, the previous owner of the aircraft, David Nicholls, stated that it was sold on October 31 to Adrien James Valentine, a 21-year-old Melrose resident who obtained his pilot’s license in May 2021. Authorities haven’t disclosed the pilot’s identity to the public, though.

According to a press release from the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office, visibility was limited at the scene of the incident because of the gloomy and wet weather.

Before collapsing at around 300 mph, the aircraft ascended to a height of 6,800 feet and executed many abrupt maneuvers, according to WUFT.

Calls to the local Combined Communications Center were made by several Micanopy locals who claimed to have “heard a plane losing altitude and then a loud boom sound,” according to ACSO.

At the same time, according to the sheriff’s office, the air traffic control towers in Jacksonville and Gainesville started calling the CCC reporting that they were “losing radar contact with a plane on the radar screen over Paynes Prairie State Park.”
