Giants legend Tom Coughlin to be inducted into 'Pride of the Jaguars'

Jackson, Virginia The first head coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars, Tom Coughlin, was named the seventh member of the PRIDE OF THE JAGUARS, the team announced today.

Coughlin, the all-time winningest coach of the Jaguars, will be inducted into the PRIDE on an unspecified date in 2024 in conjunction with the team’s celebration of their 30th NFL season.

Coughlin will be a part of the PRIDE, an event that honors the important individuals and legends that shaped the Jaguars franchise, along with Tony Boselli (inducted 2006), Wayne and Delores Weaver (2012), Fred Taylor (2012), Mark Brunell (2013), and Jimmy Smith (2016).

On February 21, 1994, Coughlin was named the Jaguars’ first head coach. He built the team from the ground up, blatantly executing a football philosophy based on discipline and hard work.

His players responded in kind, winning 68 games over the course of eight seasons (72 when the playoffs were included), with three of those seasons featuring double-digit win totals (1997–99).
