Updates Regarding Luka Doncic’s Injuries, from Jason Kidd.

The Dallas Mavericks will play the San Antonio Spurs in the opening game of the 2023–24 NBA season in less than two weeks. Although Mavericks supporters are very optimistic about this year’s team, it is obvious that without Luka Doncic, success will be more difficult to attain.

The past few weeks, Doncic has been coping with a calf injury. The majority of Mavs supporters believed the player’s injury was merely preventative even though it limited him to playing less than five minutes against Real Madrid, his former team, during an exhibition game last week.

Doncic is reportedly suffering from a “mild calf strain,” according to MRI results that Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd disclosed on Monday, according to Brad Townsend of Dallas Morning News. For a Grade 1 calf strain, most medical professionals say that recovery takes “1-3 weeks.”
