NBA: SAN ANTONIO SPURS LOSE AGAIN, LEBRON JAMES SCORES 34 POINTS IN THE LAKERS LOSS, VICTOR WEMBANYAMA RETURNS
LeBron James is still playing at a high level on the basketball court at the age of 39, but the LA Lakers lost their second straight NBA game despite his game-high 34 points. On New Year’s Eve, the Lakers fell short against the New Orleans Pelicans after losing to the Minnesota Timberwolves in a close game on Saturday. Victor Wembanyama made a comeback elsewhere, and the San Antonio Spurs dropped another game.
Despite LeBron James’ outstanding performance—34 points and eight assists—the LA Lakers lost 129-109 to the New Orleans Pelicans on Sunday night.
Although the 39-year-old has continued to guide his team this season, the Lakers are currently going through a difficult stretch of play, having lost seven of their previous nine games.
The Lakers were narrowly defeated by the Minnesota Timberwolves the night before, and James stated that the inability to recover quickly affected the team’s performance on Sunday.
