Three Steelers players make it into the NFL Top 50.

The top 50 NFL players were recently decided by a vote of the writers and editors at Last Word on Sports. Ten players each of the five articles that made up the final results series were published online. Three Pittsburgh Steelers players made it into our top 50 for the 2023 edition. However, this list should not be confused with the official NFL Top 100 rankings. In this section, we will examine which three made it onto our list and how they achieved their ranking.

Three Pittsburgh Steelers players—T.J. Watt, Minkah Fitzpatrick, and George Pickens—made our list for 2023. Watt finished just outside of the top 10 and probably would have if he had had a full year. Fitzpatrick and Pickens both had strong 2022 seasons and finished in the 30-45 range. Three Steelers players were listed in the NFL’s official ranking of the top 100, with Cameron Heyward replacing Pickens. This is a detailed look at how these four players performed in 2022 and how each of the two sets of rankings was earned.
