ESPN REPORT: Denver Broncos Qb Jarrett Stidham Has Been Suspected With…

In a post on X on Wednesday night, Russell Wilson appeared to address the news of his benching and probable termination from the Broncos.

Following ESPN’s initial story that Denver was giving Jarrett Stidham the starting job, the veteran quarterback had an incredibly hectic day.

Subsequently, The Athletic revealed that the Broncos intended to fire Wilson in March, ending an unimpressive marriage.

Wilson remained silent during all of this until late Wednesday night, when he eventually did so in a mysterious post on X.

“God has me covered. Anticipating what lies ahead,” Wilson penned.

Although it seemed as though Wilson and the Broncos were at odds for some time, Wilson had supposedly known for months that they intended to part ways with him.

The Athletic reports that the Broncos contacted Wilson’s agent on October 29 to inform him that if he didn’t defer, the signal-caller would forfeit his starting position and be rendered inactive for the remainder of the season.He has a 2025 injury guarantee trigger date.

Inside the Broncos’ locker room on Wednesday, the news seemed to catch some players off guard, including wide receiver Jerry Jeudy.

“I’m pretty surprised. He just told us out of nowhere, so yeah I was pretty surprised,” Jeudy told reporters. “Having Russ [as] our starting the quarterback the whole year, then the last two games, being a switch. I think it was a surprise to everybody in the locker room.”
