After Alex Collins, a former running back for the Baltimore Ravens and Seattle Seahawks, unexpectedly passed away on Monday, the NFL community was shocked to learn the cause of his death.

Collins, 28, lost his life in a motorbike accident near Lauderdale Lakes, Florida, on Sunday night, according to a news release from the Broward County Sheriff’s Office. Collins, according to officials, crashed his motorcycle into an SUV that was turning left. According to authorities, he struck the SUV’s back passenger side, breaking through the glass in the process.
