GOOD NEWS: Bristol Rovers sign Another QPR striker For the 2024…

Chris Martin, a striker for former QPR and Bristol City, has signed a short-term contract with Bristol Rovers that expires in January.

After the 34-year-old failed to reach an agreement on a new contract at Loftus Road earlier this summer, he began training with the League One team as a free agent.

“We are thrilled to have Chris join our team and bring another striker into our lineup,” Pirates manager Joey Barton stated on the team’s official website.

“His presence will further add experience and quality to our squad.”

Martin joined the west London club in February of last year and in his 16 appearances for Rangers during the second part of the season, he scored four goals.

Prior to that, the former Scotland international played with Bristol City for about 2.5 years, scoring 17 goals in 95 games.

Having scored 114 goals in the second division for teams like Norwich City, Crystal Palace, Derby County, and Fulham, he is among the Championship’s all-time leading scorers.
