Eagles ‘Hopeful’ Star Players Will Be Available Against…
In the NFL Playoffs Wild Card Round, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are hosting the Philadelphia Eagles; but, their opponent might be arriving with a few less stars.
In Week 3, on a Monday night, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defeated the Philadelphia Eagles by a score of 14 points inside Raymond James Stadium thanks to two touchdowns from quarterback Jalen Hurts.
Although he did not score a touchdown, Eagles receiver A.J. Brown’s 131 receiving yards severely harmed the Buccaneers’ prospects of winning that game.
This time, Tampa Bay will try again to defeat Philadelphia in the NFL Wild Card Round of the playoffs on Monday night, and they could receive a lot of support in the process.
This is due to the possibility that Hurts, Brown, offensive guard Cam Jurgens, and receiver DeVonta Smith won’t be able to participate in this rematch.
“#Eagles HC Mike Garafolo of NFL Network tweeted on Monday, “Nick Sirianni says he’s “hopeful” injured players — A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith, and Cam Jurgens — will be available against the #Buccaneers.” Also, Sydney Brown, a rookie safety, has been ruled out of the season by Siriannini. Brown sustained an ACL tear.”
The Bucs had a chance to pull off a home upset in the playoffs if they managed to snag the Eagles at the perfect moment. This season, after opening at 10-1, Philadelphia dropped five of its final six games and lost both the NFC East Division race and its hold on the top seed in the AFC.
The Dallas Cowboys host the Green Bay Packers, the Eagles fly to Florida to play the Buccaneers, and the No. 1 seed San Francisco 49ers have a day off. All because of the Eagles’ spectacular collapse this season, at least in part.
Tampa Bay, however, enters the postseason as winners of five of its previous six games and is aiming to make it six straight with a ticket to the Divisional Round at stake.
