ESPN REPORT: Carolina Panthers QB Bryce Young Is Suspended In 3 Games On His…
In an attempt to finally get this team moving in the right direction, the Carolina Panthers are making a radical overhaul of their roster. Following the announcements of other teams in the league, most notably the Washington Commanders, David Tepper and his consulting business increased the pressure by disclosing their plans in a more open manner.
The team released head coaching interview requests, and they were warmly welcomed by most. According to recent sources, certain names were evident. Some appeared out of nowhere. Frank Reich may not have lived up to expectations, but the list is extensive and primarily focused on offensive minds.
Ben Johnson, the offensive coordinator for the Lions
Bengals offensive coordinator Brian Callahan and Texans offensive coordinator Bobby Slowik
Dan Quinn, defensive coordinator for the Cowboys
Mike Macdonald, defensive coordinator for the Ravens
Frank Smith, offensive coordinator for the Dolphins; Raheem Morris, defensive coordinator for the Rams
Todd Monken, offensive coordinator for the Ravens
Dave Canales, offensive coordinator for the Buccaneers
Regarding the demands for interviews with general managers, there seemed to be a critical tone behind them. This could indicate that in addition to temporary front-office chief Dan Morgan, the Panthers are concentrating on hiring a principal salary-cap manager. On that front, only time will tell, but the team’s current list is encouraging all the same.
