Sad News.Two Player Were Suspended…
The Las Vegas Raiders are well-known for their consistent usage of penalties in each game. But Antonio Pierce, the interim coach, has eliminated penalties.
The Las Vegas Raiders, who were before seen as a club and a franchise that goes about things their own way, have improved significantly when Interim Coach Antonio Pierce took over, going from being among the NFL’s most penalized teams to the league’s least penalized team.
Pierce gave coaching and player technique attention credit for the team’s decreasing penalty total.
Pierce stated, “And that’s it right there.” “I wanted someone to question me about that particular one. Upon examining the Raiders and discussing them, it is evident that the Raiders’ play has resulted in penalties, ejections, and changes to the regulations.
We really focused on the individual periods and practices, methods, and basics, and we continued to work on it until our final session on Friday, when we were still practicing individually on the fundamentals of playing each position. And I genuinely wanted to make sure we achieved that target because it’s very important, I informed our staff and players.”
Early in his leadership, Pierce stated unequivocally that doing away with penalties would be his top goal. In their attempt to improve their performance on the field, he and the players were successful.
“To be the No. 1 team in the National Football League with the least penalized team, not beating ourselves,” stated Pierce. That was a few weeks ago during our game against the Indianapolis Colts; the Raiders prevailed.
“However, if we play a clean game, don’t turn the ball over as much, and follow the rules, then you can look down here and say, ‘Wow, that was a football game.'” That’s the way you approach it. That speaks highly of our personnel and how committed our guys are.
Although Pierce’s inexperience has received a lot of attention, the Raiders were the NFL club with the fewest penalties at the end of the season. For the Raiders, head coaches have come and gone, but few have achieved the success that Pierce, the first-year coach, did.
