Forever In Our Heart: New England Patriots star Player killed in car crash.
The terrible news arrived in Seattle on Sunday afternoon, just as the New England Patriots were getting ready to take on the Seattle Seahawks.
In a two-car collision in the Miami area, James White, the running back for the Patriots, lost his father and suffered significant injuries from his mother. Captain Tyrone White of the Miami-Dade Police Department was taken to a hospital after being declared dead at the scene together with his spouse, Lisa. Probation specialist Lisa White is very ill, according to NBC.
The collision happened in Cooper City, a neighborhood between Miami and Fort Lauderdale, at about one in the afternoon. When authorities arrived, one automobile had flipped over and the other was on fire, according to the Broward County Sheriff’s Office. Detectives looking into traffic homicides are examining the accident.
James White, a celebrity for his performance in Super Bowl LI and a coach Bill Belichick favorite for his acceptance of Belichick’s methods, did not attend CenturyLink Field and was inactive for Sunday night’s game, which ended in a 35-30 loss for the Patriots. NBC reports that White declined owner Robert Kraft’s offer to fly in his plane in favor of returning to New England with the squad.
Other NFL players and White’s teammates were thinking about him.
After yelling out Russell Wilson’s number and scoring the first touchdown of the Patriots’ season with an early pick-six against him, Devin McCourty went to an end zone camera and exclaimed, “2-8, we love you, bro!”
Following the game, McCourty stated, “Our hearts are heavy for James.” “Man, it’s just tough.” You are at a loss for words. We merely want to go forward and perform our hearts out for him. It’s simply heartbreaking. I felt so sorry for him.
Former teammate of White, Tom Brady, expressed his grief via Twitter, writing, “I’m devastated to learn of my wonderful friend’s tragic passing…. Few people ever enter your life who carry out EVERYTHING correctly. Among them is James. kind, tender, affectionate, intensely competitive, and diligent. His parents brought up a wonderful son. And while James goes through this trying time, we are all grieving alongside him. I cherish you, my friend.
