Jeff Brohm: Louisville football’s defeat to Kentucky was caused by “ridiculous” mistakes.

Brohm made a triumphant return to his alma mater, leading the Cardinals to an overall record of 10-3, their highest since the 2013 campaign. Additionally, Louisville finished 7-1 in Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) play and made an appearance in the ACC championship game, which it lost 16–6 to No. 4 Florida State on December 2. Dec. 27 at Petco Park in San Diego, the Cardinals will take on USC in the Holiday Bowl, marking the program’s inaugural participation in the match.

With his tenure as a quarterback for the Cardinals from 1989 to 1993, Brohm has more than thirty years of Louisville roots. He also led the team to victories over two ranked opponents this season, as they defeated No. 20 Duke 23-0 on October 28 and No. 10 Notre Dame 33-20 on October 7.

The Maxwell Football Club presents the award each year. The 87th Maxwell Awards Gala on March 8, 2024 will host a formal presentation of the 2023 winner, which will be revealed on January 10, 2024.
