Position Breakdown for Louisville Football in 2023: Running Back.

In addition to having one of the top all-purpose backs in the ACC, the Cardinals have the depth and adaptability to have a strong running game in 2023.

LOUISVILLE, KY: Louisville Report will analyze every position on the Cardinals’ roster as the 2023 college football season draws near. In this installment of our positional breakdown series, we examine running backs next.

Place Roster Movement:
Maurice Turner and Jawhar Jordan are back (2).
Trevion Cooley (Transfer, Georgia Tech), Tiyon Evans (NFL Draft), and Jalen Mitchell (Transfer, UConn) are the three players leaving.
(2) New Arrivals: Isaac Guerendo (Transfer – Wisconsin), Keyjuan Brown (HS)

Fans of Louisville have grown accustomed to a football team that relies heavily on running the ball as part of their offensive strategy during the team’s four years under head coach Scott Satterfield. With Jeff Brohm at the helm, things will change going forward because of his offensive scheme, which is based on throwing the ball frequently.
