Josh Heupel is one of the three Tennessee football players that can be selected for the College Football Hall of Fame in 2024.

Josh Heupel, the coach of Tennessee football, will be one of three names on the 2024 College Football Hall of Fame ballot.

Heupel, a former Oklahoma quarterback who won a national championship, is running for office for the fourth time in a row. Willie Gault and Larry Seivers, two legendary former Tennessee football players, are also up for induction into the hall of fame.

On the ballot are 78 players from the FBS. Early in 2024, the members of the College Football Hall of Fame class of 2024 will be revealed. On December 10, 2024, at the 66th National Football Foundation annual awards dinner, the class will be inducted. Tennessee leads the SEC with 26 inductees into the Hall of Fame.

Heupel, a consensus All-American in 2000, won the Orange Bowl to help Oklahoma win the national championship. He was runner-up for the 2000 Heisman Trophy before embarking on a fruitful coaching career that took him to Tennessee. Heupel has brought the Vols back to prominence in his two seasons there, leading Tennessee to an Orange Bowl victory the previous year.
