“We anticipated a challenge from Boston College. The fact that they came close to defeating Florida State at home last week woke up our players. We practiced effectively with the sense of urgency required to win as a result. Honestly, it all begins with the Card March. It was a fantastic showing. Our children adore that. It increases their readiness to play. We started off strong, scoring points and producing a lot of output. Naturally, a few things cooled down after the defense’s early fiery start. I’m quite pleased with how we started. Many of the guys had some excellent plays.

A few other players came up and produced more plays than they had previously. Therefore, we will need to keep doing that. Some guys will need to keep combining and working extremely hard. You never know when the time will be right for you. While there are some positive developments in defense, there is still much to be strengthened. It therefore presented us with an opportunity as coaches to see what we can do to consistently help them perform better and, consequently, as players, perhaps have to play harder. Maybe, we have to do this or that. We simply need to strengthen a few areas before going on to some really difficult football games.
