The Cardinals end their 22-game losing streak and three-game skid when they play the Wolfpack at home.

LOUISVILLE, KY: The men’s basketball team from Louisville is headed back home to the KFC Yum! Center to play NC State, having just ended a three-game losing streak and a long losing streak in genuine away games.

The Cardinals defeated the Canes 80-71 on Wednesday, ending a 22-game losing streak for UofL while also marking head coach Kenny Payne’s first road victory. This was despite having just seven scholarship players and playing against one of the best offenses in college basketball.

Regarding the Wolfpack, head coach and former Louisville assistant Kevin Keatts’ seventh season has been somewhat of a roller coaster. Although NC State is unbeaten against teams that are not in the KenPom top-100, they are just 2-4 against those that are, and they recently suffered a 67-54 home loss to North Carolina.
