The Golden State Warriors play the Chicago Bulls on Friday night to start a two-game road trip to the East Coast. The Warriors’ terrible run was extended when they lost their most recent game at home to the New Orleans Pelicans, 141-105.
The Warriors’ current record is 17–20, three games below.500. Even though the Bulls are currently three games below.500, they have won three straight going into Friday’s game, so they are on the right track.
The Bulls defeated the Houston Rockets 124-119 in overtime during their previous game. Both teams have had disappointing seasons due to a variety of factors.
With defensive leader Draymond Green serving multiple suspensions and starting players Klay Thompson and Andrew Wiggins out of form, the Warriors are finding it difficult to establish a rhythm.
Meanwhile, the Bulls also face issues with their on-court play because of their lack of cohesiveness on either end. The team’s situation isn’t being helped by the incessant trade rumors surrounding their best players.
When the Warriors play the Chicago Bulls, they will be missing four players. Not that Draymond Green is gone—his suspension has ended. Green is preparing to go back to court. The other veteran listed on the injury report is Chris Paul. Paul’s hand fracture keeps him out of the game. He had surgery recently for the same condition.
