‘Opportunity’ to lead improving quarterback Jalen Hurts Eagles of Philadelphia.

Philadelphia After an offseason rife with rumors about his status, quarterback Jalen Hurts is still the Eagles’ starting quarterback. Hurts seemed secure in his position during his interview with reporters on Wednesday.

“It’s recognized. When questioned about the recent public support from coach Nick Sirianni and general manager Howie Roseman, he responded, “It’s my opportunity, it’s my team.” “It’s my team, so we’re ready to go.”

The Eagles looked well-positioned to trade for an experienced quarterback like Russell Wilson or Deshaun Watson, and they did their research on both before they arrived in Denver and Cleveland, respectively. They held three first-round picks going into the April draft. Whether the Eagles are long-term committed to Hurts is still up for debate. They obtained a first-round selection in 2023—which is anticipated to feature a strong quarterback class—by trading one of their first-round picks to the New Orleans Saints.
