Jawhar Jordan, a running back, is Louisville’s initial offensive catalyst.

LOUISVILLE, KY: The Louisville football program has one of the best offenses in all of college football as of the beginning of the 2023 season. With 542.0 yards per game and 43.0 points per game through four games, the Cardinals rank fifth in the FBS in terms of total offense and ninth in terms of scoring offense.

Naturally, a large portion of this has resulted from the conventional aspects of an offense led by Jeff Brohm. Wide receiver Jamari Thrash is establishing himself as one of the top pass catchers in the ACC, and quarterback Jack Plummer is fresh off one of his best games of his career against Boston College.

The ground game, though, has probably been the primary contributor to Louisville’s early offensive success. in particular, Jawhar Jordan’s running efforts.

Brohm commented, “Jawhar’s done a really good job.” He is really modest. He puts in a lot of effort in his work. He has excellent hands, speed, and shiftiness in the hole.”

Louisville’s rushing attack is the best in the ACC, second only to UCF in the Power Five, and fifth best in the FBS with 237.2 rushing yards per game. Jordan has accounted for a sizable portion of the yardage, averaging 119.5 per game with 478 rush yards. Both of his season’s marks and his six rushing touchdowns rank him eighth nationally.
