Five More Players Are Lost by Louisville Football to the Transfer Portal.

Several players have declared they will be leaving the program to use the transfer portal after Louisville’s Holiday Bowl loss to USC. Since then, six players have made announcements, but yesterday, five players declared they would use the portal.

Keith Brown, a linebacker for Louisville, announced on Thursday that he was going to use the transfer portal after playing just one season. Brown has played on just 12 non-special teams snaps this season and has only made 3 appearances in games.

Although he did take over the Cardinals’ kicking duties toward the end of the season, Nick Lopez spent the majority of the season serving as Brock Travelstead’s backup. Lopez made a 24-yard field goal against Miami in addition to going 11-11 for extra points. Lopez spent one and only one season with the Cardinals.
