Parramatta coach Brad Arthur’s audacious vow to his daughter will fuel the team’s 2021 premiership hopes.

In 2020, the NRL’s longest premiership drought was maintained as the Parramatta Eels were once again unable to win the championship.

The Eels lost to Melbourne and South Sydney in the first round of the playoffs, and they finished third in the regular season.

They have a lot of aspirations going into 2021, but it’s unclear if they still have a chance to win the championship.

Many people in the organization, including fans and experts, are putting pressure on head coach Brad Arthur.

In remarks to the media on Thursday, Arthur disclosed that he was thinking about a promise he had made to his daughter going into the season.

Everybody wants us to triumph in a tournament. We are going to win the competition, I’d like to stand here and guarantee it,” he declared.

“I can assure you that we will make a fast progress and present ourselves with the greatest chance. We are no different from the other 16 teams in that it is a difficult sport to win NRL games.

“My daughter wants to get a dog out of it, so I’d like to be able to guarantee that.
