Three Bengals players are on the first team for the 2023 Pro Bowl.

Trio of Bengals players make 2023 Pro Bowl first team

 

Joe Burrow, a quarterback for the Cincinnati Bengals, Ja’Marr Chase, a wide receiver, and Trey Hendrickson, a defensive end, have been selected to the 2023 NFL Pro Bowl.

The trio was voted to the AFC team, the Bengals announced on Wednesday night.

Burrow was selected for his first Pro Bowl. Along with Carson Palmer, Jeff Blake, Boomer Esiason, Andy Dalton, and Ken Anderson, he is the sixth quarterback for the Bengals to be selected for the Pro Bowl.

In 2021, Chase and Hendrickson were both picked for the starting lineup.

“Joe, Ja’Marr, and Trey have us incredibly excited,” Bengals head coach Zac Taylor stated. “We have a fantastic group of players on our team, including those three and the players who were chosen as alternates. These players deserve this recognition because they worked incredibly hard to contribute to our success.

Promising defensive tackle D.J. Reader was not selected to the AFC team’s first team, which could be interpreted as a slight. He was chosen as the fifth backup.
